Everyone loves a good bargain-- they're impossible to resist.
Less of the guilt & all of the satisfaction. Like you outsmarted the SYSTEM!!! But how many of us has gone into a store to find maybe one or two things, but checkout with 10 items? Expecting to spend $20 on these "bargains" we found, but somehow racking up $100? Well what if I told you there was a different kind of place... where you could grab your normal 10 things, but the gag is, that total comes out to be under $20.00. Welcome to Dirt Cheap. I discovered this black hole of a store while I was still in college; some friends and I wandered in on a Sunday after church. At first sight, I was excited, but a little apprehensive. What I see are bins and bins of clothing and accessories. Some might say it’s overwhelming, but I dove right in. After all, the hunt is part of the fun.
What I discovered on that day was an amazing assortment of extremely discounted quality items from places like Target, ModCloth, Gap, and Old Navy. Not only is there clothing, but there is also a huge stock of house accessories and furniture, trendy knick knacks and gifts, as well as outdoor items. I quickly became addicted to this store because I could get so much for so little. Bathing suits normally $16.99+ from Target were $2.50 A PIECE at Dirt Cheap. Boots and heels normally $25.00+ at Target I snagged for $1.00 a pair at Dirt Cheap. A beautiful dress from Collectif normally costs $50.00+ I got for $7.00.

Shoes, dresses, tops, bralettes, sports bras and bathing suits all found at Dirt Cheap.
How it works:
It’s best to download the Dirt Cheap App (yes they have an app) and choose your store location. Each item has a QR code on it and you can scan it to find the discounted price. More luxury items already have a discount taken off on the tag and won’t have a QR code. There is also a letter system: each price tag has a letter on it as well as QR code. There is a large sign hanging in the store that says the corresponding price of each letter that day. Some things have a set price on a sign above the rack like bras or bathing suits so they won’t have a tag. They also sometimes discount an entire rack to $1. Sometimes at the Dirt Cheap near me, they have awesome vintage jeans and sell them for $3 each. You'll never know what you can find.

Vintage jeans found @ Dirt Cheap!
I could go on and on about the wonders of Dirt Cheap. I love to thrift, and I don’t know if this still counts as thrifting technically because it is all new clothes, but I feel like a bargain QUEEN when I shop here. My favorite humble brag when someone compliments my outfit is “Thanks I got it for $5.00 total.” First, it shocks and appalls, second, I love the fact that I can look good without spending so much like, LOOK what you can do with so little money! Unfortunately, Dirt Cheap is exclusively located in southeast states, so if you’re ever in that area, try to scope one out, it’ll be worth your time.

Bathing suit? Dirt Cheap. The whole outfit (besides the shoes & flowers)... Dirt Cheap. Romper and workout shirt? MF'n DC BABY.
*disclaimer, not all Dirt Cheaps are created equal; some might have better merch than others. Also, the clothing portion of the store has many more options for people identifying as female, not many male clothing options.
